We are a small and devoted family kennel, registered by the F.C.I. and holder of the certificate for breeding L.O.S.H. dogs. Our dogs are our passion and we are exceptionally proud of them all.
Following the new Breeding Decree from the Flemish government, effective July 1st, the updated breeding program for Miniature Schnauzers has recently been published. One major change is the introduction of two extra mandatory genetic tests:
* Factor VII Deficiency (F7def)
* Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (prcd-PRA)
Both conditions are very rare in the breed and hardly ever tested internationally in Miniature Schnauzers. Nevertheless, these tests are now required to obtain an FCI-registered pedigree in Flanders.
Since our puppies will only leave the nest starting July 12th, it was essential for us to comply with these new rules as soon as possible. After extensive research, phone calls, and emails, we found a laboratory willing to perform these non-standard tests for our breed.
We are therefore very pleased to announce that Valencia of Randi’s Ushabti has tested clear for both F7def and prcd-PRA.
As a result, her puppies will receive a fully FCI-recognized pedigree, fully compliant with the new Flemish breeding regulations.
