Thé breed specialty in Blegny-Mine

English

The breed specialty of the Royal Belgian Schnauzer and Pincher Club in Blegny-Mine was again a real feast for all Schnauzer and Pincher enthusiasts. This was not only because the club celebrated its 70th birthday this year, but also because for many editions it has been the nicest and most pleasant show of the year. Thank you, Philippe and Claudine Larcin-Dussart and the other board members for the flawless organization of this party.

There were 100 dogs present, including 9 white miniature schnauzers that were judged this year by Mrs. Inge Wilmsen from Belgium. 4 dogs from our own kennel made a family event of it.

First up was Jch. Quasar of Randi's Ushabti (owner: Ronny and An Haegemans-Mertens). He got 2 Excellent with RCAC in Open Class. Judge's comments: 5-year-old male, very nice size and type, male parallel head with slightly light eye, scissor bite. Compact body, level top line and slightly rounded croup. Angulations in balance, good bone. Good rough coat and trimmings. Doesn't reach out enough in too wide a front.

Afterwards it was up to the daughter of Quasar and the future of our kennel Valencia of Randi's Ushabti. She got 1 Very Promising in Puppy Class. The judge's comments: Neat, 6-month-old beautiful breed representative. Beautiful feminine head, dark eye, nice scissor bite and garnish. Compact body, angulation in balance. Already rough coat, super temperament, fluent movement.

After the daughter it was up to the mother, jCh. Habanera de Pichera. She got 1 Excellent in Open Class. Judge's comments: 2 ½ year old bitch. Very nice size. Female head, almost parallel, dark eye and scissor bite. Very compact body, angulation in balance, sloping croup. Topline slightly firmer, good breast development. Walks loose in the elbows and knees

Finally, it was grandma Ch. Merry Christmas of Randi's Ushabti her turn. She got 2 Excellent in Veteran Class. The judge's comments: 9-year-old bitch in exceptionally good condition. Feminine head with slightly curved skull and dark eye. Topline not really tight and a bit long in the loin. Dip behind the shoulder. Angulations in balance, rough coat. Runs very smoothly.

After the judgements it was time for the festivities, during which we were served a delicious chocolate cake and bubbles. Then came the awards. It is gradually becoming a tradition, but this year too Aube and Audric were allowed to introduce the judges.

Merry received on behalf of her mother Ch. Ushanti Bianca of Taita's Ushabti the club's best veteran trophy of 2019

Like all the babies and puppies present, Valencia of Randi's Ushabti received a nice souvenir from the show. Subsequently, she was chosen as 3rd Best Puppy in show by judge Danilo Furlani from Switzerland.

Finally, 3 generations of Schnauzers of Randi's Ushabti took part in the honorary judgment for the best group. They were not selected for the podium, but it was still incredibly pleasant to be able to present these 3 dogs in the ring of honor.

Wij kunnen al niet wachten op een de editie van 2023 ….
