When it came time to name the youngest member of our kennel, we wanted something truly special. A name that would reflect not only her beauty, but also her gentle, mysterious aura. That’s how we chose Yuki Onna – a figure from Japanese folklore.

In Japanese mythology, Yuki Onna is known as the “snow woman” or “snow princess.” She appears during snowfall, dressed in a flowing white kimono, radiating an otherworldly beauty. Her presence is both delicate and fleeting like snowflakes, yet also powerful and awe-inspiring, just like winter itself.

For us, this name perfectly matches our little white Miniature Schnauzer. With her shining white coat, her playful yet proud posture, and her ability to win hearts with a single glance, she truly embodies that blend of gentleness and strength that makes the name Yuki Onna so meaningful.

That’s why she proudly carries the name Yuki Onna of Randi’s Ushabti – our little snow princess, who we hope will grow into an elegant and striking lady, just like the legend she is named after.
